Salpa Line Museum

The Salpa Line Museum in Miehikkälä tells the story of the construction—and the builders—of the Salpa Line, the land defense position along the eastern border during the wars of the 1940s. Its extensive, heavily fortified open-air museum area, spanning several hectares of rugged, rocky terrain, was originally built as a reinforced company stronghold. The museum’s diverse services and the impressive historical and natural sites within the museum grounds make it an engaging destination for the whole family.
